Departing early from Johannesburg (between 06:00 and 06:30), your day begins with a scenic drive to Pilanesberg National Park, located in a 1.2 billion-year-old extinct volcanic crater in the North West Province.
Itinerary Highlights:
- Morning Game Drive (2.5 – 3 hours): Upon arrival, hop into an open 4×4 safari vehicle for a guided game drive with a highly qualified ranger. Search for the Big 5 – lion, leopard, elephant, rhino, and buffalo – as well as a diverse range of other animals in their natural habitat.
- Lunch Break: Enjoy lunch at one of the rest camps inside the park. Relax and take in the stunning landscape shaped by ancient volcanic activity.
- Afternoon Game Drive (Approx. 2 hours): After lunch, head out on another exciting game drive to maximize your wildlife sightings and photography opportunities.
- Return to Johannesburg: The tour departs the park between 15:30 – 16:00, aiming to get you back to your hotel before sunset.
